During this webinar, Sabrina Starns, RDMS, will discuss 1st Trimester Sonography. First-trimester sonography is useful for confirmation of intrauterine pregnancy, fetal age, calculating the estimated due date, and determining fetal viability. Sabrina will cover how to obtain appropriate measurements and identify the normal appearance of the uterus, gestational sac, yolk sac & fetal pole. Sabrina will also discuss the most common causes of 1st trimester bleeding to include identification and documentation of subchorionic hemorrhage.

Sabrina L. Starns graduated from Lone Star College Cyfair with an Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2008. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University in 2018 with a focus on adult education. Sabrina is registered and proficient in multiple sonography specialties and most recently received a certificate in POCUS scanning from POCUS.org. Her passion in education has driven her to work as a Sonography Instructor for the past seven years in the Houston area. Her latest endeavor, Pocus Med, is geared towards educating Healthcare Providers with cutting edge technology to improve their patient care techniques and outcomes.
When Sabrina is not lecturing, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her friends, family & pets.
