Would you like to use ultrasound for vein access? Here are some tips for the longitudinal approach!
        1. Always perform a preliminary scan to assess vessel anatomy before beginning.
        2. Optimal visualization of the needle shaft occurs with a heel-toe “rocking” maneuver that brings the transducer face parallel to the needle.
        3. A “jiggling maneuver” is often performed during the procedure to produce needle movement that can be detected on the screen.
