About Our Speaker

Abhilash Koratala, MD, FASN is an academic nephrologist and currently the Director of Clinical Imaging for Nephrology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA.

He is a nationally acclaimed leader in POCUS, well known for his educational tool, NephroPOCUS.com, the recipient of the 2020 American Society of Nephrology innovations in kidney education award. He has designed and developed a longitudinal POCUS curriculum for nephrology fellows, which continues to serve as a model for institutions incorporating this skill into nephrology training.

In addition, Abhilash works closely with the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology and is involved in developing certification standards for POCUS in nephrology. He also serves as the associate editor of ultrasound for the Renal Fellow Network.
